The P1900, also known as the Sport, was Volvo's first attempt at a sports car, and was influenced by the Chevrolet Corvette. The P1900 featured a fiberglass body, and was powered by a 1.4L inline four engine. First P1900 prototype-X1. It had a wrap-around windshield, a non-removable hard top, raised truck lid, fixed side windows, no taillights, and one front round directional signal. Volvo furnished the chassis, engine, drive train, door and window handles, and the grill. This 1957 Volvo P1900 (or Volvo Sport as they were also called) is one of just under 70 built, and though the ad is about as minimal as they come, the seller does seem to suggest that the fiberglass bodied car retains a high degree of originality.
